HD Fotovoltaica is a climate-tech (hardware) startup that develops ultra-lightweight BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) solutions for the industrial and logistics sectors. We address a global bottleneck: today, 40% of corporate roofs cannot support the weight of traditional glass solar panels (20 kg/m²). Our innovation is an engineered polycarbonate “Solar Sheet” that weighs only 3.5 kg/m², is shatterproof against hail, and can be installed without requiring costly structural reinforcements. We are global winners of the SolarX Challenge (ISA), have been recognized by IRENA (COP28), and have been invited to present at the UN. We are currently scaling up through B2B pilot projects in ports and industrial parks.
